Next, the code loads some arbitrary data, sampledata.xml, into the dataset. Instead, the data is stored inside data islands. As part of the new architecture, VSTO no longer stores data inside the application document, because this approach does not scale well. The cached attribute informs VSTO that the data contained in the dataset should be stored in a special way so that it is accessible outside the application.
